Huntsville Integrative Therapy LLC is pleased to offer
Trauma, Stress, & the Endocrine System
This live, interactive continuing education program examines how trauma and chronic stress influence neuroendocrine function and how those biological changes shape clients’ mood, behavior, and therapeutic outcomes.
Participants will learn to recognize common patterns of endocrine dysregulation, understand the neurobiological impact of stress, and apply evidence-informed counseling strategies within professional scope to support client emotional regulation and recovery.
After completing this program, participants will be able to:
Identify at least three trauma-related patterns of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis dysregulation and describe their impact on mood, behavior, and stress reactivity within counseling practice.
Explain how chronic stress and trauma influence endocrine function across developmental stages, affecting emotional regulation and client presentation.
Apply counseling theory and evidence-informed techniques to address the psychological effects of endocrine dysregulation through scope-appropriate psychoeducation, grounding, and emotional regulation strategies.
